Cherie Brueck-Vogt, 61

Cherie Brueck-Vogt, born on October 26, 1963, at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 61, surrounded by her loving family. She died after a short illness. At the time of her passing, Cherie resided in Green Cove Springs, Florida, on her beautiful horse property with her husband and beloved animals.

Cherie dedicated over 40 years to public service, working as a supervisor with the Department of Labor for the Federal Government. Her greatest passion was her horses, and she found immense joy in owning, caring for, and riding them on her property. Those who knew Cherie will remember her warm and friendly nature, especially toward her family and friends.

Cherie was preceded in death by her father, William V. Brueck. Her Father in law Elmer. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Vogt; her daughter, Jessica Duval, and her husband, Jerry Duval; her son, Richard Vogt, and his wife, Maria Vogt. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Anna Donaldson and Lola Vogt; her grandson, Jacob Duval; her mother, Jean Brueck; her sister, DeAnna Brueck-Adeeb, and her husband, Jeffrey Adeeb; her brother, William M. Brueck, and his wife, Megan Brueck; and her nieces, Brianna Adeeb, Arianna Adeeb, and Danika Brueck.  Her Mothers in law Doris “Ayla” and Toni. Brothers In Law Robert and Ronald and Sister In Law Rosemary “Rosie”.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Elevate Life Church- Oakleaf, 8650 Merchants Way, Jacksonville, FL 32222.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to services.  Burial will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 PM, located at 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Cherie’s name through GoFundMe for Equestrians Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) Thoroughbred racehorse rescue and sanctuary.
