Charles D. “Charlie” Pace, Jr., 72, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025.  A lifelong resident of Florida, Charlie was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Charles D. Pace, Sr. and Betty Morris Pace.  He moved to the Lake Asbury area from Neptune Beach over 25 years ago.  Charlie was a hardworking man, owning and operating an underground utility company, Grade One Site and Utility, Inc. for over 25 years.  If it was daylight, Charlie couldn’t sit still.  He loved to go fishing and participated in many tournaments.  Charlie also enjoyed going to the races with his son-in-law, Bryan.  An easygoing man, Charlie was liked by everyone, generous and kindhearted.  He had a good sense of humor and loved animals.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Betty Pace; his daughter, Renee Pace Riley; and sister, Tammy Gandy.  He is survived by his loving wife of over 45 years, Connie Pace; daughter, Natalie Pace Cox (Bryan); stepson, Jeff Marcum (Angela); brother, Lee T. Pace; sister, Catherine Richardson (Robert); and two grandchildren who call him “Papa”, Nalani Riley and Nathan Riley.

Visitation with Charlie’s family will be held 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest.  A private burial will take place at a later date.
