Charles Albert ”Al” Bennett, Sr, 97

Charles Albert ”Al” Bennett, Sr was ushered into the arms of his Savior on May 29,2026 at PruittHealth Care on Fleming Island FL.

Al was the son of Leon and Millie (Huffman) Bennett. He was born at home December 19, 1928 in Terry Township, PA.

In his earlier years, Al was a dairy farmer in Terrytown. Later, after moving to Riverside NJ, he worked as a machinist and later retired from the Hoeganaes Corp in Cinnaminson.

After retirement, he and his wife Norma moved to Florida where he worked at Publix. They eventually returned to Montrose PA until Norma’s death in 2011. Al returned to Florida and lived with his son before moving to assisted living.

He was a faithful member of First Coast Baptist Church in Jacksonville FL.

Al was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Norma; grandson Brian Blowers; brothers Wesley Bennett, Tom Bennett, Melvin Bennett, Robert Bennett, Richard Bennett, James Bennett, William Bennett, sister Betty Kipp, and infant sister Anna.

He is survived by his four children: Yvonne Alberti (Fred), Chuck Bennett (Diane), Kathy Blowers (Bruce), and Karen Grossman (Geoff), sister Dorothy “Debbie” of Punta Gorda FL and a brother Dale Bennett (Lynn). He was blessed with 1 0 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Al leaves a legacy of faithful service, love for God and his family. He served in the capacity of deacon in several churches throughout his life.

A graveside service will be at the Bradford County Memorial Park, Towanda PA at a later date.
