Carol Oliver “Jack” Davenport, 73

Carol Oliver “Jack” Davenport, 73 of Middleburg, FL passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his residence. Jack was proud to say he was born in San Francisco but grew up in Japan and later in Virginia and spent summers in North Carolina with grandparents, siblings, and cousins. Jack served as a medic in the Viet Nam war and when he returned he  graduated from George Mason University and later received his Masters in Business Adminstration from Golden Gate University.  He was a man of many talents from small business owner to cabinet designer to librarian and finally, real estate appraiser. He was devoted to his wife of 47 years, Marianne, his children, his grandchildren, his dogs and all his extended family. Despite health challenges for the 8 years his good humor and resilience were remarkable. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Davenport is survived by his wife, Marianne Davenport, children, Sean Oliver (Hallie) Davenport and Rebecca Kelly Davenport, brother, Robert (Jennifer) Davenport, two sisters, Charlotte (Lance) James and Rebecca (Ed) Toole, five grandchildren, Jack, Brooks, Blake, Tyler and Hank.

Funeral Services will be held 6:30 PM Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor Ralph Estevez officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 5:30 PM until service time on Thursday.  A Reception following the service will be at Hope Therapy, Middleburg, FL.
