
Brenda Russell Kicsak, 56
Brenda Russell Kicsak, 56, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. Born on December 7, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky, Brenda was the beloved daughter of the late Jimmy and Joan Russell. She moved to Palm Beach County in 1978, where she spent her childhood and young adult years. A 1987 graduate of Forest Hills High School, Brenda began her career with FPL in West Palm Beach.
In 2004, Brenda and her family settled in Fleming Island, drawn to its strong sense of community and family values. She devoted her life to raising and homeschooling her three children and found deep joy and purpose in serving at Hibernia Baptist Church. The ESL ministry held a special place in her heart, and she poured her time, compassion, and love into helping others through it.
Brenda’s faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. Her warmth and joy radiated through every interaction. She was known for her positivity, patience, empathy, and her bubbly, loving spirit. She had an extraordinary heart for people and animals alike, volunteering at the local animal shelter and sharing her home with her cherished dogs. Brenda loved spending time outdoors, staying active, and living life with purpose and gratitude.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Joan Russell. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 30 years, James Kicsak; her children Alex, Emily, and Sarah Kicsak; her brother Jimmy Russell; her sister Jennifer Russell; her niece Everlee Russell; and her beloved dogs, Merlin, Gunner, and Rusty.
A memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Hibernia Baptist Church, with Pastor Scott Yirka officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
