Beverly Kaye Shipp McEldowney, 66

Beverly Kaye Shipp McEldowney, 66 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on November 2, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Beverly was born on July 7, 1959 in Hutchinson, Kansas to the late Dick Shipp and Millie Shipp.  She and her husband, Claude, were married 44 years and were long time residents of Green Cove Springs.  She was a life-long member of the church of Christ.  For the last 43 years, she and her husband attended the Green Cove Springs congregation of the church of Christ, where Claude preached and Bev taught Sunday school.  She had a Master’s Degree in Education and taught early childhood education in the Florida public school system in Duval County and retired after 38 years from teaching in Clay County.

Beverly loved reading, traveling, nature, her special tree in the back yard, bird watching, KU Jayhawk basketball and teaching young children.

Mrs. McEldowney is survived by her husband, Claude McEldowney, mother, Millie Shipp, sister, Connie (Mike) Maldonado, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Green Cove Springs Church of Christ, 3650 Russell Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
