Apollo Moncada Jaurigue, 59, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away December 19, 2022. Apollo was born in Batangas, Philippines. He was the oldest brother of 12 siblings: Haydee, Jocelyn, Marites, Marivic, Gerardo, Blesyl, Joel, Lyndon, Dennis, Mignonette, and Matt Angelo.

He attended the University of Santo Tomas, earning his Bachelors degree in Biology, and the University of Perpetual Help System, earning his Bachelors degree in Nursing. He worked as a registered nurse for 31 years and was most recently employed as a home health care nurse for Veterans Affairs. He was an active parishioner at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, singing with the choir and volunteering.

Over the years, Apollo enjoyed working in his garden, singing, swimming, and playing tennis. Rarely a night passed where he didn’t fill the house with his piano playing and his tenor voice. He loved enjoying meals with his family and helping his children with their homework assignments (especially in science and math). Apollo touched the hearts of all that he met with his kindness and generosity.

Apollo was preceded in death by his parents, Honorio and Matilde Jaurigue, and brother, Matt Angelo Jaurigue. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lyle “Ching;” three daughters, Larissa “Ija,” Kate, and Kirsten; and a son, Liam.
