Alice A. Canner, 88

Alice A. Canner, 88 of Orange Park, FL passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019.  Mrs. Canner was born in New York and moved to Florida 22 years ago from Long Beach, NY.  While in New York, Alice was a teacher for adult education.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and was a past Sunday school teacher at Berea Baptist Church in Jacksonville.  Mrs. Canner was dedicated to her family, enjoyed reading, collectibles, and being “Nanny” to her 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and her great great grandson.

Mrs. Canner is survived by her husband, Richard Canner, children, Robert (Mary) Williams, Lynn Petrucci, Alice (Roland) Crews, Frank Williams, and Ward Williams, and one brother, Edward (Anita) Franks, and brother-in-law, Tommy Canner

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2019 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Johns officiating.  A time to visit with the family will be from 2-3:00 PM prior to services.

Following the service, a reception will be held at the home of her daughter, Lynn Petrucci.

    Alice was such a generous, kind hearted person who touched so many people during her life. Her loving nature was without boundaries and I will always remember and treasure her selflessness.
