Marc Ted Maskee, 64

Marc Ted Maskee, 64 of Middleburg, FL passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026. Marc was born in Buffalo, New York to the late Ted and Claudette Maskee. He grew up in Buffalo and Montreal, Canada and moved to south Florida after high school. Marc moved to Clay County in 1989 and retired in 2016 as a computer programmer.

Marc lived a full life and had an even fuller heart. A master of his craft, he was an extraordinary cook whose true happy place was in the kitchen, behind the grill or tending to the smoker, creating incredible flavors for the people he loved. For Marc, feeding people was more than a skill—it was his ultimate way of showing love.

The undisputed life of the party, he had an effortless gift for bringing people together, lighting up every room with his humor and laughter. A true man of all trades, there was rarely a problem he couldn’t solve or a project he couldn’t tackle.

When he wasn’t creating magic in the kitchen, you could find him cheering on his beloved Montreal Canadiens with his son and childhood friends (HNIC), enjoying his favorite music, fishing, or swimming alongside his dogs in the pool. Above all else, his greatest joy was his family, who meant the absolute world to him.

Marc was preceded in death by his son, Cody Maskee, and is survived by his wife of 37 years, Julie Maskee, his daughter, Amanda (Anthony) Maskee and an endless circle of friends and loved ones who will miss his contagious energy.

Private Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Family and friends
