Ronald James Miller, 93

Our family is heartbroken by the loss of Ronald James Miller, a beloved husband and father. We are deeply grateful for the long life he lived, the love he shared, and the lasting legacy of kindness, strength, and wisdom he leaves with all who knew him.

Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia of Culver Lloyd Miller and Mildred Garnet Foggin, he died at the age of 93 and left this earth to be with the Lord July 22, 2026.

He served with the United States Air Force in Japan and Korea during the Korean war, after which he graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a BS degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, Economics, and Accounting, receiving his CPA certificate from Ohio in 1980. Subsequently, he completed additional studies in advanced accounting, industrial engineering technology, and computer applications.

Ron worked 28 years in manufacturing, accounting, management and controllership before entering the tool business in Clay Co., Florida, first as an authorized distributor with Matco Tool for 15 yrs. and subsequently doing business independently as Miller Tool Sales and Service for eight years until his retirement in 2007 after a long illness.

A long-time member of Island View Baptist Church, now Springs Church, in Orange Park, Fl., Ron served as a Deacon and Usher and deeply loved his fellow parishioners.

He is survived by his wife of almost 72 years, Barbara of Lake Asbury, FL; four children, Steven Miller of Jacksonville, FL., Christa (Jeff) Quatraro of Sherwood, Oregon, Beth (Frank) Tipton of Archer, FL., and Eric (Jen) Miller of Lake Asbury, Fl.; six grandchildren, Matthew Quatraro, Michelle Quatraro, Alex Tipton, Ashley Rock, Jacob Miller, and Emma Miller; and five great grandchildren, Cade and Mallory Rock, Lenna Rae Houston, Adalee May and Ellie Jay Miller. Memorial services will be held at the Springs Church, on Park Avenue in Orange Park, Florida with private burial at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Green Cove Springs, Florida.

While our hearts grieve his passing, we find comfort in knowing he is with the Lord, and that we will see him again.
