Barbara Ann Greene, 81

Barbara Ann Greene, 81 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at her home.  Mrs. Greene was born in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Leon and Adel Woodward.  Barbara graduated from Paxton High School and moved to Lake Asbury in 1974 from Marrietta, Florida.

Mrs. Greene retired from Orange Park Hospital after 20 years where she was a supervisor in the insurance department.  She was known as a wonderful cook and hostess, whether for family holidays or neighborhood gatherings.  When someone needed help, Barbara was there to help and spent her last years being a caregiver for her husband.   With all the activities she was involved with, being “Nanny” to her grandchildren brought so much joy.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her son, Timmy Greene and granddaughter, Rachel Greene.  She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Larry “Bobby” Greene, sons Jody (Andy) Greene and Daniel “Butch” Greene, daughter-in-law Tracey Greene, grandchildren, Sara, Adell, Justin and Parker, and eight great grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, River, Chloe, Conner, Rachel, Caleb and Carter as well as many extended family members.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 3, 2026 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor Jim Rhein officiating.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM prior to services.
