Arnold Wendell Kelly, 71, who was affectionately known as “Wendell” or “Uncle Windy” went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 17, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gillie Kelly and Beatrice Silcox Kelly; his brother, Ken Kelly; and his sister, Sharon White.

Wendell is survived by his beloved wife, Glenda Bell Kelly; his stepsons, Billy Hutchinson (Bailey) and Mark Hutchinson; his step-granddaughters, Amelia and Emma; his sister Darlene Kelly; and many other cherished family members.

Wendell worked for many years as an owner-operator car hauler. He loved his family deeply and found great joy in cooking for special family gatherings and church events. His ribs were always a crowd favorite. He looked forward each year to the Kelly’s Next of Kin Reunion, a time filled with laughter, connection, and tradition.

Known for his big heart, generosity, and sense of humor, Wendell had a gift for making others laugh and feel loved. He married the love of his life, Glenda, on August 16, 1997, and they shared 28 blessed years together.

Wendell was an avid Gator fan who enjoyed attending football games with family and friends. He cheered on his team with pride. Go Gators!

Funeral services will be at 10:30AM on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Otis Road Church of God. (801 Otis Rd. Jacksonville, FL). A viewing and a time of visitation will begin at 9:30AM, prior to the service. 

A burial service will be held at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery on Monday. March 23, 2026 at 2:00PM.
