Howard Daniel Rosenbaum, 82

Howard Daniel Rosenbaum, 82, of Fleming Island, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at home.

Howard was born on May 27, 1943, to the late Robert and Ethal Copeland Rosenbaum in Cripple Creek, VA.  Prior to moving to Fleming Island, he retired from the United States Army in 1986 as a First Sergeant with over 22 years of service.  While serving, Howard received the Bronze Star Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal among several other medals.  He served a tour in the Vietnam Conflict from 1970-1971.  After his military service he worked for the U.S. Dept of Agriculture until he retired in 2006.  Howard was a Master of the Masonic Lodge #919 in Radcliff, KY.  Among his many interests, Howard served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels from 2007-2011 and was a life member of the D.A.V.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne A McKenna-Rosenbaum; son, Timothy D. Rosenbaum; brothers, Harry L. Rosenbaum, James H. Rosenbaum, David K. Rosenbaum, Robert A. Rosenbaum, Franklin E. Rosenbaum, Larry R. Rosenbaum, Dwight E. Rosenbaum; and sister, Ruby Rosenbaum Croseclose.

Howard is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Melissa Rosenbaum; and their daughters, Barbara, Angel, Cayla, and Callie; as well as his other grandchildren, Alexa and Isaiah Peterson; brother, Freddie Rosenbaum; and sister, Phyllis Rutherford.
