Marc William Geiger, Jr., 56
Marc William Geiger Jr., 56, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on February 18, 2026, after a long and complicated journey with chronic illness. He left this world peacefully in the comfort of his home—free from hospital rooms and bed rails—a gift no one expected but everyone is grateful he received.
Born on June 18, 1969, to Marc Geiger, Sr. and Sandra Slemmons in Green Cove Springs, Marc later moved with his family to Orange Park, Florida. As the oldest of five children, he naturally stepped into the role of protector, hero, and steady presence. Those same qualities defined him even more deeply as a father, the role he cherished above all others.
From a young age, Marc was captivated by wires, switches, and anything he could take apart and rebuild. His fascination with how things worked grew into a lifelong passion for the electrical power industry. Through Orange Park High School’s vocational program, he discovered the path that would become his career. He entered the workforce early, even before graduating in 1988, beginning with A&D Electric and eventually earning his Journeyman’s License. His skill and dedication opened doors to international and government contract work, taking him to places as far as Korea and Australia.
Marc was not only a talented electrician—he was a devoted family man. Every hour he worked, every mile he traveled, was driven by his love for his family of six. He took pride in providing for them, cooking warm meals, and wrapping his children in the kind of hugs that made the world feel safe. Together, they were active members of Celebration Church, where they worshipped and grew in faith as a family.
In his spare time, Marc found joy on the open road. A true motorcycle enthusiast, he especially loved his Harleys—but not nearly as much as he loved riding beside his best friend and wife many times over, Terri Geiger.
Marc’s presence was unmistakable—a force of nature, sometimes tumultuous, always unforgettable. He was full of humor, quick with a funny saying, and generous with laughter. Anyone who knew him understood one thing clearly: if you were in Marc’s hands, you were safe, protected, and deeply cared for.
Marc is survived by his best friend and the mother of his children, Terri Geiger; his daughter, Jennifer Hutcheson (Matt); his sons, Jason (Paola) Geiger and Benjamin Geiger; and his beloved grandchildren, Rachel, Emmit, Carson, Maverick, Jameson, and Oakley. He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Slemmons and stepfather Kirby Slemmons; his siblings Valerie Geiger, Emily Geiger (Billy), Carrie Loving (Rob), and Daniel Geiger; as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his first-born son, Brandon Geiger, and his father, Marc Geiger Sr.
A celebration of Marc’s life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026at 2pm in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to services at 1pm.
