Michael Henry Roth, Jr., 67

Michael Henry Roth, Jr., 67, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Mike was born in Tampa, Florida, and spent most of his life in Griffin, Georgia, before moving to Middleburg a few years ago. He was a graduate of Griffin High School and proudly served his country after joining the United States Army in 1977. Mike was in active-duty service from 1977-1983 then joined the National Guard where he served until he retired in 1998.

Mike had a love for fishing and football. A devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan, he rarely missed a game and would watch football no matter who was playing — even teams he claimed to dislike.

Strong-willed and steadfast, Mike was a pillar of strength for his two daughters. He was always present in their lives, offering encouragement, support, and unwavering love. His devotion extended deeply to his grandchildren, with whom he cherished every moment. To them, he was not only a father and grandfather, but a constant source of strength and comfort. Mike will always be remembered as a loving father, a proud grandfather, and truly the best dad anyone could ask for.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Michael Henry Roth, Sr.; and his mother, Leslie Marie Bieser.  He is survived by his two daughters who call him “Daddy”, Amber Roth (Gary Bates) and Misty Arnold (Michael MacDonald); the mother of his girls, Angie Roth; seven grandchildren who know him as “Paw”, Sierra Blount (Dylan), Kelsey Bates, Tristan Semich, Ryann Bates, Maddox Semich, Michael Arnold and Brantlee Arnold; as well as one great-grandchild, Eli Blount; along with many siblings, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life and interment at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery is being planned.  Details to come.
