Frank Eugene Putnam, Jr., 83

Frank Eugene Putnam, Jr., 83 of Fleming Island, FL passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026.  Frank was born in Worchester, MA and grew up in Shrewsbury.  He spent his summers in Marion, MA (Cape Cod) and graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston with a degree in Aeronauatiocal Engineering.

After college, Frank volunteered in the US Navy for seven years before his honorable discharge.  He worked many years in the packaging industry and retired in 2020.  Frank moved to Clay County in 2004 from Naperville, IL where he lived for 21 years.

Frank was a joy to be around with his unmatched DJ talent, BBQ menu, and his entertainment skills.  He enjoyed traveling throughout the world as well as up and down the east coast or just going out to eat with family and friends.

Mr. Putnam is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jackie Putnam, daughter, Erika and her husband Jeff Kinney, brother, Ronnie Putnam, sisters, Sandy Millward and Patty Rochefort, six grandchildren, Grace, JT, Kaitlyn, Adam, Rileigh, and Conner and 2 great grandchildren, Daniel and Jael.  Frank was preceded in death by his son, Frank “Chip” Putnam and two brothers, David Putnam and Bruce Putnam.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Grace Anglican Church, 5804 US-17, Fleming Island, FL 32003.  A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday prior to services.  Burial will be at 1:00 PM (CST) Friday, January 23, 2026 in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL with military honors.
