Brenda Loring Taylor, 74

Brenda Loring Taylor, 74, of Keystone Heights, FL, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025. She was born in Village Springs, Alabama, to William Pettis and Dorothy Waid Pettis. Brenda spent her early years in Alabama before her family moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida, where she attended school. She later settled in the North Florida area, where she made her home for many years.

Brenda enjoyed a quiet, creative life and took great pleasure in sewing, coloring, and tending to her plants and vegetable garden. She had a special love for animals and cherished the companionship of her dogs—Lulu, SC, Bella, and Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Pettis and Dorothy Waid Pettis, and her husband, Tom Henry Taylor.

Brenda is survived by her son, Thomas Taylor (Angie); daughters, Starla Raker and Misty Powless; brother, Jeff Pettis; sister, Kathy Cool (Terry); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Tallahassee Memory Gardens, 4037 N. Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
