Armand Ellis Newton, 81

Armand Ellis Newton,81, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Armand was a former Marine and served his country from 1962 through 1968. He recently moved to Clay County a couple of years ago after living in Hollywood, FL, for many years. He was known for being a storyteller and for his jokes. He enjoyed all that Florida had to offer, with golfing, fishing, the University of Miami, Dolphins. He also enjoyed watching car races and playing pool.

Armand was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hildegard Manning, and his sister, Marlene Harvey. He is survived by his sons, Bruce Newton and Bryan Newton (Tina); daughters, Kimberly Whittington (Matthew Owen), Angie Newton, and Marie Posey; ten grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

An internment service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, on Monday, October 27, 205, at 11:00 AM.
