Clyde “Snap” David Blocker, 83, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Snap was born in Green Cove Springs, FL, to parents Joseph and Lula Chesser Blocker. Born and raised in Green Cove Springs, Snap was a fixture in Clay County. Together with his wife, they have successfully owned and operated Blocker Storage and Towing Company since 1983. Over the years, many young men have worked with Snap and Glenda, each one becoming like family. They lovingly come to refer to them as the “Blocker Boys.

Snap was a 32° Scottish Rite Freemason and was a proud Perpetual member of Cabul Lodge for 54 years and a Past Master in 1975. He was a dedicated, hard-working man who had a deep love for his community and family.

Snap was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Allen Blocker and Lula Chesser Blocker; brother, John, and sister, Margaret.

He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Blocker; sons, David (Jennifer) and Allen (Sandra); daughters, Bonnie (Brian) and Sherry (Richard); ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Russell Haven of Rest.

The graveside service will begin at 12:45 PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Green Cove Springs, FL, following the funeral services.
