Willard Henry Lawrence, 88

Willard Henry Lawrence, 88 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Mr. Lawrence was born in Thomasville, Georgia and moved to Clay County in 1964 from California.  He retired after 23 years from the US Navy and also retired from the Navy Exchange after 10 years. For a few years following his wife’s death, Mary Angela Lawrence, Mr. Lawrence lived in Leesburg on Lake Harris where he enjoyed fishing.  A devoted father and grandfather that loved camping and was quite the water skier.

Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Lawrence and is survived by his children, Mike (Sheryl) Lawrence, Debby (Jim) Bury and Mark (Mary) Lawrence, daughter-in-law, Tina Lawrence, five grandchildren, Jason, Christina, Jeremy, Zachary and Clare and four great grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Sadie and Olivia.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Fr. Ignatius Plathanam, CMI officiating. Navy Honors will be on the Eastlawn following the service.
