Neil David Gunn, 61

Neil David Gunn, 61, of St. Augustine, FL passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.  Neil was born in Kirkwall, Scotland and moved to Toronto, Canada at the age of four where he grew up.  In his late high school years, he moved to Pittsburg, PA and later
graduated from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Physical Education.  He married his wife, Donna, in Cape May, NJ in 1989.

For 31 years, Neil was an Instructor for PGA TOUR Golf Academy where he connected with thousands of people. He was the Director of Instruction at Incline Village Golf Club in Lake Tahoe, NV from 2009-2020. Anyone who has golfed with Neil, or taken a lesson
from him, witnessed his love for the game and natural talent. His career allowed him to travel the world and play some of the most famous and beautiful golf courses. He traveled across the United States to Costa Rica, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Singapore,
and Malaysia to name a few.

Neil never met a stranger; he would remember your name, stay in touch despite distance, and become a lifelong friend.  His humor and compassion made it easy for many to call him a friend.

Neil was preceded in death by his mother, Georgina “Joyce” Gunn.  He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna Gunn, his daughters, Emily (Cody) Wheeler and Heather (Weston) Gunn, son, Nate Gunn, father, David Gunn, brother, Derek (Holly) Gunn, sister, Melanie Gamble, granddaughter, Josie Wheeler, mother-in-law, Shirley (Bob)
Padilla and stepmother-in-law, Cheri Tetreault.

Neil’s Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Renaissance Hotel in World Golf Village, St. Augustine, FL.  Those who plan to attend may RSVP at
