He grew up in Virginia and began his Naval Ship Engineering career as a Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice. Bill enjoyed a 40+ year career supporting the Navy at Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Senior Structural Engineer and retiring as the Business Office Manager of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center. Over the past five years, he became a pickleball enthusiast and enjoyed playing pickleball with neighborhood friends. Through his own recovery in Alcoholics Anonymous over the past 32 years, Bill carried the message to others and encouraged them to “stay in the middle”.
